Root Division proudly presents New Growth 2009, an exhibition of artwork made by students in our Youth Education Program as well as the artists who teach them. The opening reception, held on a Saturday afternoon, is free and open to the public. It will feature live performances by local youth including a performance by the Latin Jazz Youth Ensemble and a band from the Blue Bear School of Music, a performing arts workshop, free hands-on art activities for the whole family, and plenty of free food and drinks to fuel the creative process.
The exhibition features artwork by elementary, middle, and high school students and includes painting, sculpture, drawing, and mixed media pieces.
